4 days Marrakesh - Sahara desert - Fes
1st Day : Marrakesh – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate - Rose valley - Dades valley
Your 4 days Marrakech Sahara desert and Fes trip start from the door of your Hotel and depart to Dades valley going through the High Atlas mountains, Kasbah’s, Ouarzazate. In our way, we´ll enjoy:
- Beautifual views from the vehicule.
- Stop for the best views to enjoy it and take some memorable pictures.
- Reach the highest driving point in the Atlas Mountains 2260m Altt
- Explore Ait Benhaddou kasbah
- Studio films in Ouarzazate (optional)
- Rose valley (March till end of June as it’s time of the rose)
- Dades valley
After visiting all above, we will head to your Riad for tonight, it include dinner too.
2nd Day : Dades valley – Tudra Valley – Tudra gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast we´ll depart towards:
- Tudra Valley where you can see one of the longest rivers in Morocco.
- Make some stops to take pictures and enjoy the view of the spectacular Kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the road as well as the beauties of the Tudra valley.
- You´ll have some free time to visit Tudra gorges.
- We´ll reach the wonderful Merzouga dunes. “Desert of powdery sand dunes”.
- We´ll change there our motorized transportation for one of animal traction to go inside the heart of the the desert.
- When we reach the luxury desert camp, we accommodate comfortable tents.
- Music around Campfire by staff after dinner.
- Dinner and night in the luxury glamping tent under a beautiful starry sky.
- Your camp will be Dihya Desert Camp or similar
3rd Day : Explore the Sahara desert
“Date with the sunrise” If you are In the middle of the desert, waking up early is a “must do” to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you´ve ever seen at the top of a dune close to the desert camp and enjoy this landscape that is a gift of nature Then we return to the tented Camp for breakfast then we go to explore the Sahara Desert:
- Ancient Fossils: Explore a fossil-rich area, uncovering the remnants of prehistoric life embedded in the desert’s ancient layers.
- Majestic Panoramas: Take in breathtaking panoramic views of the colossal sand dunes, a testament to the Sahara’s stunning grandeur.
- Nomadic Connection: Venture on an off-road drive to visit the resilient Nomadic communities, gaining insights into their ancient way of life.
- Oasis Oasis: Discover a small, hidden oasis nestled among the dunes, a refreshing sight of life amidst the arid landscape.
- Local Flavors: Indulge in a midday feast of authentic local cuisine, savoring the flavors of the region while surrounded by the desert’s beauty.
- Cultural Rhythms (Optional): Immerse yourself in the entrancing beats of Gnaoua music, a traditional Moroccan rhythm that resonates with the desert’s spirit.
- Mirage-like Lake: If nature permits, encounter a tranquil desert lake, a rare occurrence adding a touch of surrealism to the arid scenery.
Subsequently, we will proceed to the luxurious desert camp, where you’ll have leisure time and the option to partake in sandboarding if you desire.
Throughout the day, you have the freedom to tailor your experience – whether it’s unwinding at the camp for a tranquil break or embracing the nomadic spirit with a camel trek. This ancient practice, reminiscent of nomadic journeys between distant locales, can include a picturesque picnic amidst the vast Sahara Desert.
4th Day : Sahara desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar forest - Ifrane - Fes
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the desert camp, fueling up for the day’s exploration from the Sahara Desert to Fes, presented in bullet points:
- Ziz Valley Exploration: Depart from the desert, and venture into the captivating Ziz Valley, where lush palm groves contrast the arid surroundings.
- Scenic Drive: Enjoy a picturesque drive through changing landscapes, as you make your way towards the next destinations.
- Lunch Break: Pause for a delicious lunch at a local eatery, savoring Moroccan flavors and cuisine.
- Cedar Forest Visit: Arrive at the enchanting Cedar Forest, home to ancient trees and perhaps even the resident Barbary macaques. Take a leisurely stroll through this natural wonder.
- Ifrane Discovery: Discover the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland” due to its European-like architecture. Marvel at the beautifully manicured parks and unique ambiance.
- Continued Journey to Fes: Resume your journey towards Fes, immersing yourself in the scenic route that brings you closer to the city.
- Drop-off at Your Riad: Your day’s journey culminates as you’re dropped off at your chosen riad in Fes, allowing you to unwind and settle into the heart of the city.
